We hope to cultivate a community of belonging by offering regular opportunities to worship, have fun, grow, and serve together.
Here you’ll find dates and details for weekly worship, monthly potluck, monthly kids and youth events, and home group gatherings. You’ll also find ways to serve (like Jubilee Home dinners) and ways to have fun together (like Fall Party).
Potluck Sunday
Join us for our monthly potluck shared meal after worship in the back community room (where kids meet).
Kids Pumpkin Carving
Pre-k, elementary kids & parents are invited to pumpkin carve with goats after potluck on Sep 29! Cost is $20 per family and includes farm entry & pumpkin. RSVP with Evan.
Youth Fishing
A few of our young adults have volunteered to take the youth fishing. If you’ve fished a million times, or never seen a fishing pole, they will teach you! RSVP with Elizabeth.
Fall Party
The church will provide dinner, dessert, pumpkin painting, yard games, a bounce house, and more. Feel free to bring frisbees and other sports balls!
Jubilee Home Dinner
Jubilee Home works with men in the Durham community to create a place that bridges the gap between incarceration and full independence. We are looking for a few folks to sign up to prepare and eat a meal with the men on the last Tuesday of the month.
Virtual Bible Study
Join us for Virtual Bible Study on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-8:30pm on Zoom. This study group facilitated by Pastor Curt explores Scripture through the upcoming sermon passage. Join via Zoom.

The Gathering Church Virtual Bible Study will resume on Tuesday, September 17 from 7:30-8:30pm on Zoom. This study group facilitated by Pastor Curt explores Scripture through upcoming sermon passage.
Young(ish) Adult Home Group Kick-Off
Our Young(ish) Adults group will resume on Monday, September 16 at Trinity Avenue Presbyterian Church at 7PM. This semester, we’ll be reading The Liturgy of the Ordinary by Tish Harrison Warren. Email our Young(ish) Adults Pastor Elizabeth with any questions or to join.
Reality Ministries Dinner
We are partnering with Reality and Trinity Ave Pres Church to make a monthly meal for a Monday night Reality group on September 16.
Science of Polarization
The Gathering Church is partnering with Science for the Church and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church to welcome Dr. Kurt Gray to discuss polarization and the science behind it, and learn how we can handle polarization in a healthy way in the communities entrusted to us. We hope you'll join us from 7pm to 8:30pm at Holy Trinity.
Young(ish) Adult Retreat
Our Young(ish) Adults group will be heading to Lake Norman for their annual retreat. Please register and pay by August 23. Cost is $100 per person, but scholarships are always available. Register online and email our Young(ish) Adults Pastor Elizabeth with any questions.

Blessing of the Books Sunday
To ring in the new school year, we invite everyone to bring one item to be blessed during the service. We will also promote our rising kinders to GC Kids and our rising 6th graders to GC Youth beginning Aug 25.
Make It Happen Sunday
If you are looking for ways to get involved with the life of GC and the surrounding community, you can sign up for home groups, mission opps, kids/youth volunteers and more during worship on August 25.
Creative Arts Kids Camp
Rising K - 6th graders are invited to register for this creative arts camp. Each session costs $5 to register per child, with a household max cost of $10 per session. Scholarships are also available. Register and pay online by Friday, July 19.
Pool Party
Kick off the school year with a pool party at the Cormier's house on Sunday, August 18 from 3-5pm. Babies, preschoolers, elementary, middle and high schoolers are welcome. This is a family event so we are also asking parents to stay for the party. Snacks included! RSVP with evan@allgather.org.

GC Youth Retreat
Rising 6th - 12th graders will be going on their annual beach retreat in Wilmington! Total cost is $100, a $50 deposit is due July 12. Email elizabeth@allgather.org to sign up.

World Relief Durham Refugee Day
World Relief is co-sponsoring Durham Refugee Day on June 29. Durham Refugee Day is a FREE family-friendly event that celebrates the contributions and cultures of our refugee and immigrant neighbors and provides an opportunity to stand in solidarity with these communities. The event includes live music, community education booths, activities for kids, and food vendors from around the world!
