GC KIDS
Your sense of wonder is welcome here.
At The Gathering Church, we don't just welcome kids in worship; we follow their lead! We take Jesus' call to welcome children seriously and try to see God's Kingdom through their eyes. Kids regularly read, sing, and help serve communion during worship.
We have a nursery available throughout worship for our babies and toddlers. Children aged three and up participate in the beginning of worship before going to age-based classes with Bible stories, games, crafts, and snacks.

WHAT TO EXPECT
On Sundays
Our preschoolers and elementary kids have play-based learning each week and adapt curriculums such as Godly Play, Illustrated Ministry, and Shine Curriculum. We ground our teaching in these three principles: God loves us, Jesus is Lord of all (including our lives!), and the Holy Spirit helps us become part of God’s work in the world. Once a month, we also have music time for preschoolers and elementary schoolers.
Throughout the month
We host monthly family fellowship outings, including strawberry picking, rock climbing, service opportunities and Parent Night Out activities. View our event calendar.
Welcoming, safe environments
Arrival and Check In: Enter through the teal double doors and go to the kids check in station. Your child will get a name tag, then a pastor or volunteer will show you and your children to the right classroom. Kids aged three and up join the start of worship before going to age-based classrooms for learning and play.
Safety Policies: Because we are committed to loving and welcoming children as Jesus did, we promise to provide a safe, clean and welcoming environment for your children. We follow Safe Sanctuary policies to the best of our ability, including training and background checks for all volunteers. Read our safety policy.
Support for kids & parents
We want parents to feel equipped, encouraged, and surrounded by Christian community. We are here to provide pastoral care and resources. Reach out to Evan if you’d like to connect.
