I’m fired up for this Sunday. I’ve had the opportunity to attend a couple of conferences this week where I heard some excellent and challenging speakers, the impact of which makes me very excited to be doing what we are doing.
This Sunday we will cointiue in the series of Knowing the Heart of Christ, by looking at Mark 1:15-20, the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry. We will see right away the sense of compelling momentum that Jesus had, his passion for what he was beginning to do.
I’m convinced that our lives often lack passion or have a faux-passion centered on our self-interests because we don’t know where we are in ‘the story’. Jesus totally understood where he was in the story. I’m eager to explain where the Gathering Chruch is in the story.
For the first time, we will have the Lord’s Supper together. We will do it as part of the meal we share. It will be dfferrent, but more like the actual Early Church experience.
