Safe

Safe

It never made sense to me.

My dog would freak out whenever there was a thunderstorm.  Uncontrollable shaking and panting.  Nothing could calm him down.

Sure, the sound of the wind, lightning and driving rain could be terrifying but nothing bad ever happened to my dog.  Why didn’t the fact he survived, without harm, the first storm he experienced give him the assurance that there was nothing to worry about?

Why didn’t he know he was safe?

Why did she torture himself with needless worry?

This Sunday at the Gathering Church, we continue the series Free for Freedom: Removing Roadblocks from Life with God. Many people say that worry, fear and anxiety make it difficult if not impossible to know and enjoy God and God’s blessings.

Is it possible to change our habits of worry?

Do women worry more than men?

Would women worry less if the men in their lives worried more?

Is it possible to have more peace and joy in a world that really can hurt us?

How stressed are we, anyway?

Check out Psalm 27 which will be the passage for Sunday.

What would your life be like if you worried less and trusted God more?

Let’s not worry about it. Let’s do something about it.

This Sunday.
