Sharing God’s Story

“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect…”-1 Peter 3:15

As followers of Christ we come to realize that our little stories are swept up in the grand Story of God in history, which has its climax in Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection, and calls us to leave our sin behind and participate in renewal and restoration of others and this world by God’s Spirit.  This Story is so huge that it would be absurd to try to boil it down to a few talking points or mechanize it into something less real, living and dynamic than it is.  However, sometimes it helps us, in our finitude, to wrap our thoughts around some tools to share this story with others.  The following devices were part of Mark’s sermon on Living in God’s Story (Acts 8:26-40 on 03.02.14).
